Awesome Indies: Maldita Castilla

Maldita Castilla is an action arcade game created by Locomalito which is full of myths from Spain and the rest of Europe. The graphic style is raw, with a limited color palette and displayed through a dirty old monitor effect. Also, Gryzor87 composed the music emulating the Yamaha YM2203 sound chip, so that the game has real arcade sound.

It pays homage to classic arcade games from 1985-1987 like Ghost’n’ Goblins, Shinobi, Rygar, Karnov, Trojan and many others… taking influences from medieval paintings and places, and inspired by the best chivalry book ever: The Amadis of Gaul.

Awesome Indies:  Fist of Awesome

Fist of Awesome is a time-travelling-lumberjack-em-up of epic proportions created by developer I Fight Bears. It stars Tim Burr as a man out of time, caught up in a needlessly convoluted plot to enslave humanity by populating history with homicidal wild animals. Fist of Awesome gleefully conjures up nostalgic memories of the likes of Final Fight, Streets of Rage, and other fondly remembered brawlers from the 1990s golden age of scrolling beat ‘em ups.

Coming to iOS/Android & Ouya this Spring and it will be available for PC & Mac later this Summer.
